Ember Steak with Olive Oil and Salt

Ember Steak with Olive Oil and Salt

FIRE TABLE / EMBERS

15 MINUTES · EASY · SERVES 2

Fire rewards patience.

Wait until the flames disappear and the coals glow red. This is where crust is earned—not burned.

Direct contact. Clean ingredients. A crust only embers can give.

INGREDIENTS

Serves 2

  • 1 large, thick-cut bone-in ribeye or tomahawk steak

  • Extra-virgin olive oil

  • Oakflame Original Blend

  • Flaky sea salt, for finishing

METHOD

01 — BUILD THE FIRE

02 — SEASON SIMPLY

Pat the steak completely dry. Coat lightly with extra-virgin olive oil, then season generously on all sides with Oakflame Original Blend.

03 — COOK OVER EMBERS

Place the steak directly on the glowing coals. Cook for 3–4 minutes per side, moving it as needed to avoid active flames. Brush away any loose ash when turning.

04 — REST AND FINISH

Remove the steak from the embers and brush away any loose ash. Rest for 8–10 minutes, then finish with a light drizzle of olive oil and flaky sea salt.

SERVE

Slice against the grain and serve immediately. Let the crust, smoke, and fire do the work.
